Audio Analytic Jobs, Full-Time Senior Developer (Job Ref: AA-Dev-Full-Time-Senior)

Audio Analytic is the emerging leader in sound recognition and categorisation based in Cambridge (UK); West Cambridge site 10 minutes’ walk from the city centre. Our software is used by a host of world leading security equipment manufactures to detect when someone becomes aggressive or when a glass window is broken while trying to gain entry to a building. We are currently expanding the core engineering team and are looking for talented engineers who would like to be working at the fore-front of sound recognition. The successful candidate will join our highly successful team and take a very active role in further developing our sound recognition systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Sound Recognition Development Objectives.
• To write and test computer code associated with our unique sound recognition system.

Technical Skills

Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Maths. Upper 2:1 or 1:1 required. Must have software engineering experience, at least 5+ years.

• Software engineering.
• Open source experience a plus but not a requirement.
• Sound signal processing a plus but not a requirement.

• Matlab/Octave.
• c/c++.
• Python.

General Skills

• Well-developed written, verbal and presentational communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Enjoy working as a member of a team and using their own initiative.

• Self-confident and highly motivated.
• Ability to deal confidently with a variety of people at all levels.
• Able to manage own workload and meet deadlines.
• Good organisational skills.

• Good standard of written and spoken English.
• Able and willing to attend at the specified place and time(s) of work for the duration of the placement.
