I’m really pleased to have been invited to this year’s virtual Connections event and to be a part of a panel discussing the exciting use case opportunities for innovative sensor and AI technologies for the smart home.

Connections is an event organised and hosted by Parks Associates and sessions run throughout the year, offering a mix of market research, analysis, and industry insight all focused on the fast-growing smart home market.

I’ll be part of the Beyond Connected to a Smart Home: Emerging Tech Innovations panel on Wednesday, May 26th from 2pm CT, discussing how AI at the edge and multiple sensors around the home can satisfy a range of high-value use cases.

I believe that consumers will greatly benefit from products that can do more on their behalf, whether the application is security, health, wellbeing, convenience, safety or entertainment. A compact sense of hearing offers a great opportunity in that regard and, when combined with other senses or inputs, can empower even more opportunities based around a deeper contextual understanding. This is something we touched on recently following our latest patent and is a subject I look forward to discussing on Wednesday.

We’ve attended Connections many times over the years and it is a great opportunity to understand more about the latest trends and developments in the smart home sector. Although we can’t be there in person this year, I look forward to the opportunity to learn and share with the other panellists.

You can register for the event here.
