Our sound recognition tech is running alongside Alexa on Freebox Delta
Last week innovative French telecoms operator Free, which is part of pan-European telco Iliad, launched Freebox Delta – the world’s most advanced TV and connected home package for consumers.
We are really pleased to announce that our AI technology plays a key part in this impressive new package, providing peace-of-mind to Free’s customers by recognising a number of important sounds through the set-top box.
Freebox Delta subscribers get:
- the Free|Devialet Player, an impressive set-top box and speaker combination with support for 4K HDR, hundreds of TV channels, two french voice assistants (Amazon Alexa and OK Freebox) and intelligent sound recognition
- a comprehensive security package, which includes a smart home camera as well as motion and door sensors
- a home router and hub that offers ADSL and 4G connectivity, support for 10G fiber and centralised network storage, which can range up to 20TB of space.
The Free | Devialet Player is able to recognise key audio events such as a window breaking or smoke or CO alarm. “Free has gone all-out to create the most attractive TV/smart home product and service proposition in Europe, if not the world. The Delta Player and security package will offer a suite of features that keeps families entertained for hours-on-end and protected round the clock. We are so excited to see our technology as a key component of such an impressive platform,” said Audio Analytic CEO and founder, Dr Chris Mitchell.
The Freebox Delta package is available to subscribers in France via http://free.fr.
